In most cities, once a month, civil defense sirens blast their shouting alarm. Thus, they become an object of performance. The WT bell follows up on this use and appearance: it’s a new platform announcing different types of events and happenings within the WT building. It is open to all current and future participants to use, experiment, exhaust, abuse and transform. The WT Bell recordings bounce through the corridors and spaces of the school and notify people the events of the week (box exhibitions, movie nights, speelplaats, living rooms, 18, personal projects, etc). The WT Bell acts as a seductive, interruptive, confident and loud concierge. The WT Bell was initiated and designed by Auriane Preud'homme and Yeliz Secerli. The installation and website were engineered by Jelle Reith and Ibo Ibelings.
